Is Barack Obama the 'post racial' President often heralded by certain elements of the media? Or is he just the 'most' racial President.
President Barack Obama has further degraded the Office of The President by indulging in racial politics and race baiting that we would previously have linked to the likes of Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton. Aside from previous unprecedented and un-presidential world wide apologies for his country, vilifying industries as enemies, and attacking certain occupations by name, Obama has now taken the step of attempting to convince Latinos to vote against their enemies. Where does the downward spiral of the dignity and leadership of his office end?
On a Univision interview on Monday, October 25, Obama made the following statement:
“If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us,’ if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s gonna be harder and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.”
The President of the United States exhorting Latinos to punish their enemies?
In order to garner votes for his party on November 2, he would try to incite fear and anger amongst Hispanics that those who vote against his party are the enemies of Latinos. This is 'the race card'. Imagine a white president speaking similarly to a white, racially based group, describing those who would vote against their interests as their enemies. What would the public reaction be? What would your reaction be?
